“Thank you for making us all look so wonderful. Big Wave produced a fantastic event! Everyone at Silhouette and the press are still talking about it and wants to know the production company (Big Wave) we used.”

“We started using Big Wave in 1998 in Los Angeles, then, Miami, Chicago and most recently San Diego. Brian Winthrop is creative, flexible and has a lot of pride in what he does. He has now become more of an asset to us by knowing the objectives we are trying to accomplish and being able to handle the coordination and planning with the properties.”
Cynthia Groetsch
Director Marketing Communication, Siemens Hearing Instruments
“It was a pleasure working with you and your expert staff on the recent Pfizer event in Naples at the Ritz Carlton. The event was a great success for the client and we were pleased with the results as well. Thank you for being an integral part of the team and for helping to make us look good. We look forward to working with you again in the future.”
Rebecca Coons
Vice President, Extraordinary Events
“How can we thank you enough for such an incredible party at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York. As you probably remember, the challenge with this event was creating an environment where 2,000 very different guests, everyone from hard-core Linux “techies” to executive level management, could have a great time. And I have to say that this party met and actually exceeded our expectations as to how much everyone enjoyed themselves. The room setup was amazing, the lighting and music created a truly cool and hip environment, and it looked incredibly professional from the moment you entered the huge space.”

Party for the Weather Channel with
Special Guest Performer Grammy Winner Michelle Branch

Guests entered the event through a lobby filled with fog, potted palms and people in white raincoats as if they were on some Amazonian reserve. It was a sampling of effects that partygoers would experience once they took the elevator up to the main space, where Corporate Events Manhattan created four different environments with food and decor that reflected the seasons, and Big Wave International projected video images of outdoor activities specific to each season.

In the autumn section, a quaint wood station provided fruits and cheeses surrounded by stacks of hay and dried autumn leaves. Dried branches with berries decorated the walls, and Big Wave lit the area in warm red and orange gels. For the winter part of the space, small white tables and stools sat around frosted tree branches decorated with blue Christmas lights. There was a small seared salmon station made of actual ice blocks carved to look like winter garden trellises, and bartenders poured martinis down an ice slide.

Outside on the patio deck, summer was celebrated underneath a clear enclosed tent with a sprawling kite suspended above guests' heads. Fold-out patio chairs and wood tables were spread out next to tin buckets with striped throw pillows inside. Heat lamps placed around the deck helped to heat the space to the right temperature for guests to enjoy the sangria bar.

For the spring season, Big Wave lit the main performance area with soft green lighting. The green tables had live flowers by Botanica, scented candles burning and wooden folding chairs. Guests could sip apple martinis near a babbling brook station set up to the side of the stage with a small stream flowing around pieces of seasoned fried chicken and sesame noodles in peanut sauce.

After an hour of mingling and interacting in the season-specific spaces, Weather Channel executives gathered everyone to the stage for a speech about daily life and, of course, the weather, before singer Michelle Branch sang a few songs from her new album. To drive home the idea that the station is really about what life will be like today˜not just cold fronts˜guests got their own MP3 players with the Weather Channel logo to take their own music with them for various seasonal activities.

Ken and Barbie Center piece, another center piece.

Club Millennium: Focuses on four key periods, the Roaring Twenties, the Swinging Forties, the Rock N' Roll Fifties and the Disco Seventies. Guests are encouraged to wear costumes from one of these periods. The evening starts with a themed Roaring Twenties Cocktail Reception, guests then enter the ballroom to a five-minute dance revue of the greatest hits from the forties. Each table features giveaways to go a long with one of the time periods coupled with a Barbie and Ken Centerpiece; i.e. for the twenties Barbie is wearing a flapper dress and Ken is wearing a beaver coat with a megaphone. Source Four ellipsoidels feature period gobos aimed at the wall; for the twenties, an antique radio, for the forties, a swinging couple dancing, for the fifties, a jukebox and for the seventies a disco couple dancing. Once the Dance Company finishes their revue they get the guests to come dance to music videos of Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, the Dorsey Brothers and many more. The evening progresses from watching the Dance Company and dancing to periodic music videos between courses culminating in the grand finale, a New Year's Eve Millennium Celebration featuring Champagne, streamers and Guy Lombardo on the big screen. As this is an elegant event the menu should include shrimp cocktail with a Savigon Blanc and filet mignon with a Cabernet Savigon.

Theme : Beatles
Event: Private Party in Cleveland at the Bertam Inn and Conference Center
Event Planner: Brian Winthrop, CMP, CSEP
Production Company: Big Wave International, Ltd.

Club 2000:

This event can be positioned as a post event party or as a main event as well. Guests enter a thirty-foot tunnel with fiber optic cables to change the atmosphere. At the end of the tunnel the Grand Ballroom has been transformed into a state-of-the-art dance club with trussing, lit stretch fabrics, an intense 20,000 watt surround sound audio system, and the latest in intelligent lighting. Futuristic models that give out glow in the dark necklaces and earrings greet guests. For music Club 2000 features the latest in techno from New York, Madrid and Tokyo coupled with Top 40 current music videos. For those that want a change in environment, there are two options: a futuristic mellow black light kool jazz bar and a game room featuring the latest high tech virtual reality games. Club 2000 is the perfect late night event for that final night blow out.

Disco Fever:

Wind the clock back twenty-five years to the age of Disco and your group is standing in front of the doors of Studio 54. This is the perfect theme for a dance/disco or final night event for an incentive group. Disco Fever includes seventies gobos projected onto the walls, disco centerpieces for each table including a mini mirror ball and fun period giveaways on each table. In addition to Big Wave's spectacular intelligent light show, your group will dance the night away to music videos from KC and the Sunshine Band, Donna Summer, the Village People, the Bee Gees and many more.

The Big Wave Beach Party:

This event is campy. Once again it can be a solo event or tied in with a dinner theme. It's great if you're in Scottsdale and load everyone on buses and take them out into the desert or it can be produced on the golf course or in a hotel ballroom as well. . Frankie Avalon, Annette Funicello and Elvis can welcome guests and offer them Hawaiian leis as they enter a beach cocktail party complete with frozen pina colatas and margaritas and Caribbean steel drums. If your serving dinner we recommend buffet style with ribs, steak, corn, beans, lobster, cole slaw and ice cream. As the sun sets the music and lights pick up. Big Wave plays music videos from the 40's through the 90's all with a campy feel. From Buster Pointdexter's, "Hot, Hot, Hot", to Sam the Sham & the Pharaohs, "Woolly Bully" to the Beatles', "Twist & Shout to Delite's, "Groove is In the Heart". Everyone's favorite songs from the past fifty years up on the big screen.
